Our Mission

We Help people know and follow Jesus together.

Jesus’ call to his first disciples was to follow him, and he would make them fishers of men. His last words to them were to go and make followers of him. These followers were to share the character and priorities of Jesus. We desire to continue this mission with the current generation. We believe knowing Jesus and following Jesus comes from a strong faith and results in transformed relationships with family and friends. We also believe in following Jesus we find the purpose for which we were created.

(Key Scripture Foundations: Matthew 4:19, 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 5:18, 20; Ephesians 2:10)

Our Core Commitments

We are committed to preaching and teaching God’s Word.
We are committed to Spirit-led worship and prayer.
We are committed to relational discipleship.
We are committed to sacrificial generosity.
We are committed to fighting for unity.
We are committed to seeking the lost.

By culture we mean the range of phenomena that are transmitted through “the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group” (Oxford Dictionary).  As a church, we proactively seek to pass on certain cultural values and practices. These we believe were passed on to us through the beliefs and practices of the early church.

(Key Scripture Passages: Acts 2:42-47; 2 Timothy 4:2; 2 Timothy 2:15; 1 Timothy 1:5; John 17:20-23; 2 Timothy 2:2; 2 Timothy 8:3; Luke 19:10; Matthew 18:12)

Our Strategy

Evangelize > Encourage > Equip

We believe the best way to accomplish the mission of the church is not only to follow Jesus’ message but also his methods. We find the same methods used by the early church in the book of Acts. This method can be summarized in the Pauline cycle of ministry. Paul evangelized the cities, encouraged the believers in their faith, and equipped the faithful for ministry. We seek to meet people where they are spiritually from the disinterested to the fully devoted followers and help them take their next step. (Key Scripture Foundations: Acts 14:21-23; Hebrews 10:24-25; Ephesians 4:11-13; 2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Timothy 3:1-5)

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and be assured, I am with you until the end of the age.”
